Eye of Newt and Hellfire: Witchy schoolgirl skirt

Well hello November!

Goodbye October

Yesterday was a pretty calm and simple Halloween for me. This year I didn't have time to make a costume so I made a quick Halloween skirt. It was going to be a dress but I got lazy and just left it as a skirt. I had picked a fabric with  Witch's potions scattered about and it's just wonderful. The colors of the bottles of potions are bright against the black background. I felt adorable like a cute little witch.

I had ordered this fabric a few months ago and I had whipped it up while I was in between projects. It only took me a few hours to get get it done. It's like riding a bike.

I paired it with a simple black top, pin dot stockings, black oxfords , and a black ribbon in my hair for a cute little WITCHY school girl look. I felt like I needed to add a bit more accessories so I whipped up a little brooch to wear. It's always great to have craft supplies in stock. I figured why not make it a sweetheart and since I was rewatching Penny Dreadful for Halloween, I picked the poetic and strange Dr Victor Frankenstein.

Now that the spookiness is over, it's time for Christmas(yeah just skip over Thanksgiving) There's even a Christmas movie marathon playing on one of the channels.
